Fun in the
harbour
basin!
Over the dyke. Into the water. 🌊
If you’ve got nothing planned for 9 August: right next door at the Lighthouse, people will be jumping into the harbour basin again.
The Lighthouse Swimming Day is back and, from 10 am, will once again turn the Museum Harbour into what’s likely to be the wettest party in Büsum. On the programme: loads of water-based fun, cold drinks, music from DJ Holzi Holst and people ending up in the harbour basin – either voluntarily or not.
Amidst the sounds of the bridge, the harbour air and the best summer atmosphere, it’s not just about splashing about. As every year, donations will be collected for the DGzRS sea rescue service. The event is supported by the Büsum Volunteer Fire Brigade and the DLRG.
And because a reason to celebrate never goes amiss: the Lighthouse is turning 7 this year. So that’s yet another reason to take a quick stroll over the dyke.
By the way, large inflatable water toys will remain on dry land. Instead, there’ll be spontaneous challenges, daring jumps and that authentic harbour basin vibe. Just as it should be.
So: grab your swimming trunks, round up your mates and come on over. See you by the water. Or in it.
