At Bretterbude, enjoyment is our top priority - with a clear conscience. We focus on honest, sustainable farming without compromise. Our ingredients come directly from our James Farm - without any industrialised stuff, but with a lot of love and craftsmanship.
What counts here is quality over quantity. The animals on our James Farm grow up with plenty of space, fresh air and the best feed straight from the farm. Husum protest pigs, Durocs and woolly pigs live on straw, have plenty of exercise and grow up without stress - you can taste it in the butter-tender meat. The Rotbunten DN dairy cows provide milk that tastes like real milk, while the German Angus cattle grow up on the pastures - without long journeys or industrial breeding programmes. The grazing chickens scratch across the meadows all day long and lay eggs with character. Bees and goats are also part of James Farm - because a real farm is more than just fields and barns.
But it's not just about farming ...
Everything is processed directly on our James Farm. The farm's own abattoir works with respect, the cheese dairy conjures up unique specialities from fresh milk, and the vegetable garden grows everything from crunchy salads to aromatic pumpkins. Without long delivery routes, without artificial additives - simply pure quality.
And it is precisely this quality that we serve at the Strandschuppen. Whether it's fresh eggs for breakfast, creamy cheese, tender meat or crunchy vegetables - in our kitchen we rely on produce from our James Farm because we know that it contains only the best.
